With over 14 years in the hospitality industry and a background in leadership and operations, Luke brings extensive hands-on experience to the team. From managing venues to overseeing beverage programs and operations, his expertise spans all aspects of hospitality. Adding to his unique skill set, Luke also served in the Australian Army as an Infantry Soldier, including a deployment to Afghanistan in 2015.

Experience:
Luke’s hospitality journey began at 19 when he stepped into his first Duty Manager role. Since then, he has held management positions across a range of venues, including the Austral Hotel (Mackay), Courthouse Hotel and Mermaid Beach Tavern (Gold Coast), and Townsville Casino. He later took on senior roles as Cellar Master and Beverage Manager at Tattersalls Club Brisbane, before becoming Operations Manager and Director at The Lawn Bar & Café.

His qualifications include RSA, RSG, a QLD Gaming Licence, RMLV, an Approved Manager’s Licence, and multiple certifications in hospitality management and training. With additional expertise in wine, holding WSET 1 & 2 qualifications, Luke brings a well-rounded approach to venue operations, service excellence, and team leadership.

When he’s not busy working, Luke is spending time with his two amazing little humans or staying active—running, climbing, hiking, and playing sports. He also enjoys catching up with family and friends over a great meal. Passionate about mental health, one of his personal goals is to become a facilitator in the men’s mental health space.
