
Aleks Rakic
Aleks brings a diverse professional background spanning hospitality consulting, government advisory and project support. With a strong foundation in business and over a decade of experience across multiple sectors, she offers a well-rounded perspective on regulatory processes, project coordination and strategic support within the hospitality industry.
Experience:
Aleks holds a Bachelor of Business from the Queensland University of Technology, with a double major in International Business and Management. She began her career in hospitality consulting, specialising in liquor and gaming licensing, extended trading approvals and venue alterations.
During this time, Aleks prepared community impact statements, market share reports and strategic planning presentations, and contributed to industry research articles. She also conducted consumer surveys and mystery shop programs to support data-driven insights for hospitality operators.
Following her consulting work, Aleks expanded her experience across both corporate and government sectors, working with MLC Insurance and as an Adviser within the Department of Transport and Main Roads (PRS Branch), where she supported Rollingstock and Signalling Projects. Most recently, she worked as a Project Support Officer in the construction sector before moving into an Executive Assistant role supporting two company directors.

Outside of work, Aleks enjoys spending time with her three children, two boys aged 8 and 9, and a 6-year-old daughter. As a family they love heading to the beach, hiking, playing sports and keeping active. Aleks is also currently working towards a personal goal of training for an ultra-marathon in the coming years.
